Offsite Backup Service – Terms & Conditions
By purchasing, using, or signing this document for our Offsite Backup Service, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. About the Service
Our Offsite Backup Service gives you secure cloud storage space for your data, hosted on our own servers at Copy Noord’s premises.

• Custom storage on request
2. Your Data, Your Responsibility
We take reasonable steps to keep your data safe and our servers running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee that your data will always be available or protected against loss. You remain responsible for your own data and are strongly advised to keep at least one extra backup (for example, on your computer, an external hard drive, or a flash drive).
This service is designed as an offsite backup solution — not your only copy.
3. Data Loss or Downtime
Copy Noord will not be held responsible for any data loss, damage, or downtime caused by hardware failure, technical issues or other unexpected events.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not upload or store any illegal, copyrighted, or harmful content. You remain fully responsible for all content you store, and Copy Noord does not accept any liability for it. Any illegal content may be reported to the authorities.
Accounts found in violation may be suspended without refund.
5. Data Location & Privacy
Your data is stored securely at Copy Noord’s premises. By using this service, you agree to your data being stored and processed here. Copy Noord will not sell, share or give out any information or data you provide to us. Your data is used only for providing the Offsite Backup Service.
Note: This does not relieve you of your responsibility under Section 4. If illegal content is detected or reported, Copy Noord may take appropriate actionin accordance with the law.
6. Payments, Renewals & Upgrades
Payment is required in advance for your chosen package and covers a 12-month period. The amount paid is non-refundable.
You can upgrade your storage package at any time, and the upgrade cost will be calculated pro rata based on the remaining period of your current plan.
You will be emailed before your 12-month period ends about renewal options, and a grace period of 14 days will be given to renew your plan.
7. Cancellation & Non-Renewal
If you do not wish to renew your storage after your 12-month period, you will have 14 days to remove your data from the server. After that, all remaining data will be permanently deleted. You may also choose to cancel your service before the end of the 12-month period, but no refunds will be given and your data will be deleted upon cancellation after a 14 day grace period.
8. Software
The Offsite Backup Service uses Nextcloud software. Any errors or issues caused by Nextcloud — whether on the server or client software — are outside of Copy Noord’s control. The Nextcloud client software is currently available for Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS.
Customers are responsible for installing and maintaining the client software on their devices.

Copy Noord is not responsible for any issues arising from the Nextcloud software itself.
9. Support
Basic support is available for login or access issues and initial setup.
